Band Camp Details
Band Camp is at the High School
Band Camp will take place July 31-Aug 4 and is required for all members. All camp activities will take place a the High School. Each day will consist of team building games, music and marching rehearsals, sectionals, breaks for water and food, and so much more! Water, snacks, and lunch will be provided each day by area restaurants, the Instrumental Music Boosters, and the school! Each night, an optional fun activity will take place for students to relax and socialize. THESE ACTIVITIES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. A list of evening activities, times and details will be shared when available from the organizers. At the conclusion of camp, there will be a Preview Performance at 5pm in High School Parking Lot on August 4.

New Parent Night
Kristi Bevevino, President of the Instrumental Music Boosters, will be holding a New Parent night on July 27 at 6:05pm in the HS Cafeteria. Her goal is to share helpful information from a parent perspective on how to help our students have a successful year in band! The meeting is open to anyone interested in attending and is conveniently being held while students are in rehearsal in the band room. Band Camp Registration Registration will begin at 7:00 AM on Monday, July 31. Please come with enough time to register and start on time. Money is due at the time of registration, cash or check. Do not show up at 8:00 AM and expect to be on time. Please make checks payable to: “Instrumental Music Boosters. The Band Health Form will be handed out on July 27. They will also be available at the registration desk. Due at registration. |
Band Camp Planning
Membership Fee: $40 This covers only a SMALL fraction of the cost associated with the marching band season, including t-shirts, gloves, drill, food, staff, etc. Drill Masters Shoes: $40 Everyone must have the correct marching shoe for the uniform. Please know your shoe size as we don’t offer a fitting. Students may purchase used shoes for $20 or trade in shoes for FREE on Monday morning. First come first serve and trade-ins must be usable. Based on availability. Flip Folder/Lyre: Various Prices May be ordered at registration. What to bring to Band Camp 1 Plain White T-shirt for making a shirt. Instrument and music. Flip folder and lyre. Dress in layers for the weather, rain or shine. Tennis shoes and socks. Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses A POSITIVE ATTITUDE! |
Plan Ahead…
Band Camp is at the High School Band camp and many activities will take place a the High School, including: Pre-Camps Band Camp Rehearsals (unless told to go to Ratcliffe Field) Dress for success! Several of our warmer weather performances in the summer will require the band to wear the band provided t-shirt, khaki shorts, short white socks, and tennis shoes. The first performance will be at the end of Band Camp on August 4! Purple Pride: Community at Heart Join us at the following events in the Summer as we kick-off a new year focused on music and our community! Chip in…
Snacks at Band Camp All students are asked to bring a snack for Band Camp. This one time donation helps feed the group while keeping costs low. There are 95 students and staff. All snacks can be dropped off when you arrive on Monday of Band Camp. Simply take them to the cafeteria kitchen when you come in for check-in. Having a special occasion (birthday, etc)? Feel free to bring a special treat and we’ll help make it special! Adult Volunteers We need your help to volunteer in one of the many capacities it takes to make Band Camp possible. Rain plan: standstill in the gym and perform
General admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and senior citizens. There is also a $15 family rate for parent(s) and their children. Programs will cost $1.00.
